Currently, according to the requirements of Jinshan District Regional
Planning and Development Guideline, Jinshan government is implementing Jinshan
District Town Structure and Industrial Layout Plan, leading its people to plan
and construct ¡®three parks and one line¡¯, i.e. Jinshan Industrial Park, Modern
Agricultural Park, New Town Area and coastal line.
Jinshan Industrial Park, located in the east of Jinshan District, with a
planned area of 58 square kilometers, cooperates with the industrial parks in
the west, north, and central, and Jinshan Second Industrial Park and Shanghai
Chemical Industrial Park Jinshan Branch, thereby accelerating the economic
development. Jinshan Industrial Park will be built, within several years, into
the city¡¯s industrial park with good layout and planning, and high-level
industries. ¡¡¡¡ Jinshan Modern Agricultural Park has a planned area of 48
square kilometers. With an objective of having advanced technology, high
proficiency, nice scenery, famous brands, outstanding talents, the park will be
built into a world class modern agricultural base, which integrates planting and
breeding, processing, displaying, training, tourism, and international exchange,
with its characteristics of providing seeds, facilities, entertaining services,
and being able to earn foreign currency. ¡¡¡¡ Jinshan New Town Area has an
area of 33 square kilometers. With its political, cultural, information, and
entertaining functions, this area has built thousands of mu forests , extended
to the north, and has established Shanghai Nan Yi Coastal New Town Area, which
has functions of conference organizing, office administration, and information
radiation, with rows of commercial buildings, sculptures, and sightseeing
routes.
Jinshan has 23.3 kilometer coastal line, of which 12.5 kilometers can be
developed. The 12.5 kilometers will be divided into three parts in the plan. The
eastern part is the port area, chemical industrial park, and modern logistic
base. The middle part includes Shanghai Aquatic Products Wholesale Trade Market,
Conference center, yacht club, restaurants, and commercial center. The western
part is the seaside residential area. By filling the sea, building the bank, and
leveling the land, the coastal line will be the highest point, and thereby
possessing beautiful scenery and attracting tourists from all over the
world.
After the efforts of over one decade, Jinshan will have become the modern
Shanghai Nan Yi Coastal New Town, which integrates environment friendly chemical
industry, manufacturing, modern logistics, agriculture, electronics and
information, and its unique culture. ¡¡¡¡ Jinshan will build the
petrochemical production base into a green chemical industrial park where there
is no pollution but a perfect balance between people and the
environment. ¡¡¡¡ Jinshan will be a manufacturing industrial city with a
focus on one industry and simultaneous development of other industries like
manufacturing, chemical products, apparel. ¡¡¡¡ It will make full use of the
highways, railways, river network, Hangzhou Bay Trans-oceanic Bridge, harbors
and docks and become a modern logistic city.
Jinshan will fully utilize the modern agricultural park and forests to
develop into an agricultural center with Jinshan¡¯s special ecological
agriculture, and seed production.
By constantly development its digital communication network, Jinshan will
become an electronic and information center, promoting the society¡¯s
informationization.
Meanwhile, Jinshan will also be a special tourist and cultural center, which
fully discover Liang Zhu Culture and other ancient cultures, develop peasants¡¯
painting and dark pottery art , create its cultural brand, and form industrial
system, with its cultural and tourist resources.
Tomorrow¡¯s Jinshan is sure to achieve great economic development and take on
a brand-new look, greatly improve people¡¯s living conditions, and acquire stable
status of the society.
Looking into the future, Jinshan will become a modern coastal new town in the
southern part of Shanghai and have a bright prospect. |
